House Day 38 - Lots of Hardware Installed

THURSDAY - What a mess! Wood chips all over the place. Today Nick and the electricians did a lot of drilling and wire pulling.

The HVAC men were putting in the kitchen and bathroom vents. The kitchen range hood and motor are restaurant size and quality. It could drain the house of smoke and stale air in seconds.

All the vents are designed to exit under the eaves. There will be no vent holes in the roof - keeping all sight lines clear. This will also prevent roof leaks and also avoid staining from debris and electrolysis.

This is the range vent system. It has an 8 inch pipe and a remote motor to keep the sound out of the house. Lulu will have to be careful or it will suck her up and out.

This flexible metal pipe is the vent from the guest bathroom.

This shows the range vent and the gas pipe going to the stove.

Gary installed the hardware for 4 pocket doors.

The master bath has 2 sinks. The wires for the lights are there too.

This is the bathroom vent in the master bathroom.

This is the AC supply for the master bedroom. Each room has both an air supply vent and a return air vent.

This is the exit for the bathroom fan - under the eaves.

This is the exit for the range hood - under the eaves.

Lots of wood chips were made from drilling for all the wires.

The washer and dryer will be stacked here. The big hole is for the dryer vent.

There is a lot going on here. The ACC wires and pipes go underground to the unit outside away from the house. The gas pipe and water pipes go to the Rennair tankless water heater which will be hidden in the wall and vented outside.

The electrical panel is in the laundry. All circuit breakers are in one place.

The Trane HVAC unit is ready to go.
